From increasing global temperatures that threaten food security and water availability, to extreme weather events potentially leading to mass migration and weak state institutions, climate change has the capacity to create new strains on human livelihoods or exacerbate already-existing ones. Delegates in DISEC will be tasked with addressing violent conflicts and geopolitical threats resulting from the defining issue of our time: climate change.

Con el objetivo de conseguir el desarrollo sostenible se ha fomentado el turismo, la urbanización e industrialización a nivel mundial. De esta forma las naciones han trabajado en pro de la sostenibilidad, el problema radica en las amenazas al patrimonio de la humanidad que estas actividades implican, ¿Es posible incluir al patrimonio de la humanidad al desarrollo económico y urbano de las ciudades, considerando que estos no pueden ser modificados estéticamente?

UNHCR
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is the subsidiary body of the UN that is focused on helping refugees, returnees, stateless persons, and asylum-seekers.
In this opportunity, delegates will be discussing how to empower refugees through technology and how to ensure that States’ commit to the agreements made within the committee. We expect highly substantial debate since its final Draft Resolution will be sent to the actual UNHCR to compete in the Model UN Refugee Challenge 2021.
AIE
La Agencia Internacional de Energía (AIE) es una organización autónoma dentro del marco de la OCDE. Fue creada para solventar la crisis petrolera en 1973-1974, y se ha convertido en el corazón del diálogo para garantizar energía segura y sostenible.
La AIE discutirá temas relativos a la dependencia de recursos fósiles como freno al surgimiento de energías renovables; la energía nuclear, sus implicaciones y consecuencias, y los riesgos de un aprovisionamiento ilegal de recursos en Medio Oriente.

AOSIS
Despite being the least polluting countries on the planet, small island are the most vulnerable to climate change with threats from structural problems such as ocean acidification to serious economic troubles such as the decreasing of their main sources of income. Unfortunately, international climate change negotiations have not moved fast enough. AOSIS Ocean Conference is a space where novel binding agreements can emerge to ensure the help of the international community.
OIC
After 40 years of authoritarian rule, Libya has yet to see democratic and prosperous governance. Almost a decade after Gaddafi's downfall, the country has fallen into anarchy, with the UN-backed Government of National Accord in Tripoli and General Haftar as the head of the Libyan National Army in the east. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has the responsibility to avoid the same circumstances from repeating and seeking for Libya not to become another Syria or Yemen.
European Council
The European Council is the EU’s supreme political authority, which defines the region's general political directions and priorities.
During this edition of MOVENU, delegates will be participating as Heads of State of each EU’s member to discuss the political agenda and directions regarding the waiver of vaccine patents policies in the region, especially the COVID vaccines, and their implications regarding the Intellectual Property Rights of the private companies and the global demand and supply concerning the needs of the asset.

OMPI
La Organización Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual (OMPI) es una agencia especializada de las Naciones Unidas establecida a través de la Convención de Estocolmo de 1967 cuyo mandato está dirigido a fomentar la protección de la propiedad intelectual y la cooperación administrativa entre Uniones. En MOVENU 2020, la OMPI abordará la situación de apropiación cultural indebida a través de temas de agenda.

This year MOVENU’s Security Council, will ensure the stability of the Caribbean. The tensions are increasing within the eastern-financed terrorist cells. The UNSC has the means to stop this instantly.This committee is renowned for being one of the most demanding ones hosted by MOVENU. The bar gets higher every year, no commitment means no progress. We expect no less than absolute dedication, enthusiasm and excellence.

For over 22 years, war and revolutions have spread like wildfires, but in 1814 the nations of Europe decided to meet and negotiate at Vienna, for the continent's future and progress. Could this brief peace last long? Will Europe have solutions rather than differences and power? Only the representatives can say it in the next MOVENU 2020 edition.
